Babysdu

Babysdu (born Walter Benvindo Correia dos Reis in Santa Cruz, Cape Verde) is a prominent figure in Cape Verdean music, formerly known as MC Prego Prego. He began his career in 2019 in Praia, blending Afro house, Afrobeat, rap, and funaná. In 2022, his songs “So Badjon”, “Imagina Só” (with Danni Gato), and “Riba Gaita” were nominated at the Cabo Verde Music Awards in top categories. With hits like “So Badjon” (6.5M+ views), “Txuba”, and “Pipoca”, Babysdu has gained recognition inside and outside Cape Verde. He has collaborated with Danni Gato, Vado Más Ki Ás, Lil Whind, and 3000Kilo, showing versatility and international reach. More than music, Babysdu represents resilience, identity, and evolution.
