Benjamin Kheng

Benjamin Kheng is a Singapore-based director, writer, musician, and actor, and a reformed (though occasionally relapsing) pop artist. Best known as a member of The Sam Willows, he has amassed over 100 million Spotify streams, earned an MTV EMA nomination for Best Southeast Asian Act, and won Single of the Year at the 2021 Youth Music Awards for “Better With You”. In 2024, he composed, produced, and performed Singapore’s National Day Song, “Not Alone”, and recently wrote and directed the NDP ’25 Opening Musical Film, “Makin’ Our Way”. His screen credits include Wonderboy, The Breakup List, FAM!, and The Last Bout, alongside stage work with Pangdemonium and Wild Rice. Ben is also the co-founder and creative director of Charle King Pte Ltd, a boutique film company dedicated to whimsical and absurdist storytelling. A former national swimmer and enthusiastic runner, he advocates for wellness and healthy living—and at home, he is walked daily by his dog, Bailey.
